Use of a digital communicator, or Digicom, is one of the most cost-effective methods of connecting your alarm system to an Alarm Receiving Centre
It is also a very flexible system using 8 or 16 channels, or the Point ID system. Point ID tells the Receiving Centre exactly which sensor has triggered the alarm thus giving information as to the nature and location of the intrusion.
Signals that can be passed, in coded form, to the Receiving Centre include:-

- Smoke or heat detectors from a fire alarm
- Personal attack buttons
- Cancelled alarm signals in the event of accidental triggering
- Log entries to verify who has set or reset the system
- etc.
